My cobalt dress pants have somehow become my most-loved item of work clothing. I had NO idea how much I would wear them when I bought them at Target nearly 4 years ago. If I had known, I probably would have bought 3 pairs in case any fell apart. That's probably my worst fear in life. Okay, that's a complete exaggeration (my worst fear in life is that Starbucks goes bankrupt) but I really love these pants. Looooooove. You can see my first post on four ways to wear cobalt pants here. I've worn them countless times since then, but here are a few ways that have been captured on the blog:

Two initial thoughts: my hair is SO short and also, I was totally pregnant in this pic. Weird. Anyway, the cardigan is matchy-matchy which is normally not my style, but it's nice to mix it up. And when in doubt with shoes, always go neutral.
This is a super-casual look, but I actually wore it to work (insert awkward emoji face here). I looooove tone on tone and the cobalt pants are perfect for it.
This is one of my favorite looks! The leather jacket with the suede booties add a lot of texture to an otherwise blue-and-black outfit.
For anyone looking to build their professional wardrobe, cobalt pants are seriously amazing. Can you tell I love these pants? I know, I haven't made it clear enough yet :) I have a few similar pants linked below (each under $50).
it is definitely a fear of mine for things to fall apart and me not be able to buy the exact replacement. i feel you. i don't drink starbucks, so i am not worried about them. love these pants, and the leather jacket look is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pair of pants! I am always nervous about having to replace pieces of clothing (or shoes!!) that I love.
ReplyDeleteI love how you styled the pants in a number of different ways! They are so versatile and I love the rich colors. Your looks are so fun! XO

Love all of these looks! I actually have a favorite pair of jeans that I worried the company would stop making and I would ruin them (or wear them out) at some point so I finally just bought a second pair of the same exact jeans when they went on sale. They sit in my closet as a "just in case". ;)
ReplyDeleteI need to find my cobalt jeggings and wear them again. These are great ideas and you look so cute.

You've really gotten your money's worth from these! I donated my cobalt pants a while back because they weren't the right shade or fit for me, but I really like yours!
ReplyDeleteOoh, yes, these are all fab! Love the first one the most I think, actually. I am sometimes surprised when I get tons of use out of items like this that seem like they might be one-season fun closet fillers when you buy them... but then I shouldn't be surprised, because it keeps happening. Cobalt is one of about 2 accent colors in my wardrobe, and I've learned how amazingly versatile and fun to wear it is. Don't have pants, but I do have a sweater, so I'll have to take some inspiration from these outfits in reverse :)
