Piglet's Outfit
plaid: carter's (similar) // pants: gap (obsessed with them!) //
vest: patagonia (a gift!) // shoes: etsy
Sometimes you like an outfit and it translates horribly in photos. Which really only matters if you are a blogger or if you take a lot of selfies. This outfit is so #basic (blanket scarf, ks earrings) but it was one of those "cute mom outfits" I keep referring to. I still wear work outfits (I'm wearing a pencil skirt as I type this!) but I am having a hard time finding a good time to photograph those. So. Here ya go. Life-changing outfit ideas.
In some great news, Piglet is officially walking! He took his first step alone at Christmas, but it has taken him a couple of months to get to the point where he is hardly ever crawling. It's such a game changer! Playing outside is so much easier (his hands aren't caked in mud and his pants don't have constant holes in them). I know that pretty soon he will walk "normally," aka not like a waddling baby duck, so I am soaking in the adorableness.
I was just trying to describe the horror of having on an outfit that looks good in real life but doesn't photography well and they were like.....so? Sigh, blogger problems!

Cute! Walking - that's such a fun milestone. Enjoy the waddles because it seems like running is the next milestone that's quickly mastered. I love his little moccasins :)
ReplyDeletePerfect mom outfit! Yet again shows that excellent basics with a few good accessories make for such an easy yet stylish look that's totally doable and practical. Love how you two coordinate on your plaids. And walking! Fun!
ReplyDeleteI totally hear you on great outfits not translating into photos, but I think you look super cute, and I love the shot with Piglet ;) crazy that he's walking!!
ReplyDeleteAhhh Piglet is so cute! Scarves can be so transform outfits!

It's a lot of mixed feelings when they start walking! It's so exciting but then you have to rush and sow the breakables off of all the tabletops! Haha!
ReplyDeletePiglet is so cute I can't handle it.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to the mom outfit thing...I hear ya!
ReplyDeleteAnd Piglet is SO cute! And how exciting that he's walking! My little guy uses his walker a TON so I'm thinking it won't be long...I can't wait personally!
First, I'm incredibly jealous that you have that scarf. I had it bookmarked because I didn't want to pay full price for it, and then by the time I realized how silly I was being, it was sold out online and in every store in a 60 mile radius. wahn wahn. Anyway. Waddling tots are my jam. I love when two of my teammates from soccer bring their kids because they have a waddler. So. freaking. adorable.
ReplyDeleteAww your son is so cute! :) It's awesome he's walking!
ReplyDeleteI like your outfit too - I was pretty much in slight variations of that outfit over our winter as well! A great go-to 'uniform' for cold days.
