This is actually what I wore Easter Sunday this year (yes, yes, I'm always behind on blog posts). Dresses aren't an option since I'm nursing and it ended up being a cold and dreary day so I didn't want to mess with a skirt... floral pants for the win. Of course these pants don't actually fit... I'm using the old rubber band maternity trick which obviously needs to be advertised as an option for those of us hanging on to a little extra post-baby extra as I like to call it. Don't worry Piglet, you were totally worth it.
But don't know what you can't see, right? Well, unless I just told the whole internet. Whoops.

lol well you still look cute and those pants are super fetch ;)
ReplyDeleteThese gorgeous pants caught my eye right away! This is such a fun twist on an Easter outfit instead of the traditional dress. You are looking great, mama!! :)
ReplyDeletexo Always, Abby
Love the patterned pants! (And when is Easter ever nice enough to wear a cute dress, anyway?)
ReplyDeleteHa! Love it. Those pants are fabulous! I have the belly band that I totally plan to use post pregnancy because, darn it, I'm sick of maternity clothes!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit, I love the floral pants. I wore maternity clothes actually up until my twins were a year old because they were so comfortable, but now I can't imagine myself in them again, at least not for now.
ReplyDeleteYou'd never know! I love those gorgeous pants and they were probably so much more comfortable than a skirt!
ReplyDeleteI actually have these exact pants, so I will have to save this for future outfit inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAs the others have said, you'd never know that your pants aren't exactly a perfect fit right now!
Once upon a time I ate such a big lunch between classes that I had to unbutton my pants. I put my sweater over the waistline so that no one would know. I must have forgotten about that because this weird lump caught my attention when I was teaching my afternoon class. Yeah. That lump was my unbuttoned pants. So I left the room, took care of business, and right back to teaching. The end :)
ReplyDeleteHa! I remember those days - don't worry you will be there in time... nursing does help you loose weight so keep it up mama! love those pants and wish I got them when they were on sale in Target

Those floral pants are gorgeous, Ashley! Love the way you've styled them, keeping the top basic and almost neutral. Reminds me that I haven't worn my floral pants in a while now. Better wear mine in the warm weather we have here right now. :) Just leaving a link to all the ways I've styled mine here, just in case you would like to have a look at the different outfits I came up with. http://clothesandcreativity.blogspot.in/2014/01/one-piece-many-ways-floral-pants.html and http://clothesandcreativity.blogspot.in/2014/08/what-i-wore-on-rainy-saturday-ootd.html
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty pants, and so nice with the chambray shirt! :) If you have any empire waist/wrap dresses or maternity dresses you might still be able to wear dresses and breastfeed. All of my maternity dresses doubled for nursing wear too, they had hidden panels or were stretchy enough. Not in the early days, but once you and baby are a little more comfortable and practised at it :)
ReplyDeleteThe pants are so nice you don't need to worry about not being able to wear a dress though, you still looked great! :) I stuck to elasticated waists and stretchy material for a good few months after baby's arrival so good on you for even trying your button up pants - even if you did have to try the belt loop trick, that's what getting dressed during pregnancy 'trains' us for isn't it? haha!

These are such fun floral pants! What a fun take on an Easter outfit! I love it!
ReplyDeleteHahahah the ol' rubber band trick. Very clever! I imagine getting dressed is pretty limited when you have to breastfeed huh? Good thinking on the floral pants. They look so cute with your chambray!
ReplyDeleteI'm not maternity and sometimes I use the rubber band trick! It's my saving grace at least once a month.
ReplyDeleteYou have to do what you have to do sometimes to wear cute pants! :)
ReplyDeleteThe pants look great on you! I'd never guess that you were using the rubber band trick!
