Well, I inadvertently took a little blog break last week. I told myself it was because it was spring break, even though I haven't had a spring break for a really long time. Isn't that the worst? Why don't adults get spring break? Seeing pictures of college students I know sitting on the beach was definitely a little bit jealously inducing. Buuuuuut we have been having some GORGEOUS weather in Oklahoma this week so I am handling it ok. It's currently 75 degrees and I am sitting on the porch as I type this. Gah, I love you spring.

And since I like to keep you on your toes, here is a completely non-spring outfit. I wore this a few weeks ago when it was chilly, hence the tights. As much as I sometimes wish I was a legit style blogger (posting spring outfits months ago and talking about this year's new spring trends) I'm just not. I'm really not sure what the new tends are this year. Maybe florals. "Florals? for spring? Groundbreaking."

  2. I have a friend in the department who was amazed that I was getting so much done during spring break. "Why are you surprised? Spring break is the one time when we have time to get work done!" ... one week later I've checked off a bunch of items from my to-do list, and yet have so much still left to do. big sigh.

  3. Ha! I am in the same boat as you today! I took photos ahead of time and now I feel like my outfit is obsolete! I really like the pattern of your button up paired with that necklace though!

  4. Love this look! This post is actually quite timely, as I am currently visiting my in-laws in Massachusetts, where it is 12 degrees outside. So I need some cold weather inspiration!

  7. Oh girl, I am still posting Wintery outfits and have a lot more to post also. I love this outfit. I own a similar gray sheath and have also worn it with a black+white patterned blouse, to work. Great minds think alike. =)

    Enjoy this week, mamma!

  9. Hasn't this weather been amazing?! I have been wearing bare legs even though it might not quite be time. Spring break is hard, especially when you work on a college campus. You look hootttt. I love the layers.

  10. Haha so I JUST last week posted an outfit with that quote as the title, seriously. I wore a floral dress on the very first warm Spring day we had, and then I was like "florals, soooo original." Haha. Hey, if you managed to take photos, you are totally entitled to posting them when.ever. I have been feeling the SAME way about Spring Break. I still know/am connected to lots of college students, so when I see they're on Spring Break, it's a little rough. Hope you enjoyed your "Spring Break" from blogging!

  13. Hahahah I know exactly what you mean about spring outfits. Sure, the calendar says spring but it snowed today and was freezing. My legs haven't seen the sun since the day we began our move to Denver back in November. Two layers of tights or wool pants under jeans are much more realistic.

Like your layered look for example. Everything is covered. I have no idea how girls started showing bare legs a few weeks ago with visible snow still on the ground. Those ladies are crazy!

Thanks so much for your comment! I reply to my comments via email, but I can't do that if you are a no-reply blogger (if you don't know what that means, you probably are). Check out this tutorial to fix it!
