You know how people talk about cost per wear and all that fancy clothing/money business? Well, this sweater, has paid for itself a few times over and I've only owned it for a couple of months. I bought it mainly because it's long (at 5'10" it's really hard to find anything like this that actually covers my butt), but I have loved it for so many other reasons. The black and white pattern goes with anything and it's so so warm. It's gotten really cold in Oklahoma (apparently that happens during the winter months, but it throws me through a loop every year) and the sweater keeps me warm. I've been wearing it nearly everyday since I've been home from the hospital. Don't worry - I've washed it like... Twice.

yay for long things for tall people!! i have a very similar cardigan otherwise i'd be all over this one. it looks super cute - and so does your hair :)
ReplyDeleteOhh, the cozy! And the pattern mix! I love how graphic this look is - pretty bold patterns to mix, but in black & white it just works. I love when that cost-per-wear stuff works out so great :) Can see wearing this sweater all the time for sure!
ReplyDeleteI love when an expensive piece of clothing totally pays for itself. I have a grey knit sweater too that I splurged on from Urban Outfitters (I think it was $98? Expensive for me. Anyway...) I wear that thing alllll the time and it keeps on bouncing back to its original shape, even three years later. Love when you find pieces like that! And love the curls!
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing sweater and something I would wear all the time too!! You look great by the way, hope you are enjoying your time with your new little bundle:)

I am so in love with this entire outfit! The sweater is perfect, and the necklace...love!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous!
I would be wearing it all the time too! It looks so incredibly cozy!
ReplyDeleteI started by commenting that you are so lucky to be tall, but then I realized that everyone wants opposite of what they have. My point is that I would kill to be taller and I bet you would kill to be shorter :-) Regardless, it really is a great sweater regardless of height.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree in the cost per wear math - it helps me to justify my purchases! Love that sweater!

I'm 5'7 and feel like I can't ever find any top that goes below my belt line. I lucked out with a few tunic sweaters this winter, and, well the story is the same as yours. Lots of wears... a couple washes. haha
ReplyDeleteI love this sweater. I have a forever 21 sweater that I wear so much that I only wash it when the arms start to get stretched out or one of the kiddos take it out.
ReplyDeleteThat outfit looks super cozy, but not for outside in the winter! I am shivering looking at you! I feel as though I think Oklahoma is a much colder state than it actually is. It's gotten very cold here in DC over the past few weeks. A few days ago my husband wore MY long underwear to work in the morning (he couldn't find his own...) because he knew he'd have to be outside at a meeting. Usually he is hot in just about any weather, but I guess he hit his threshold.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I've become really attached to a sweatshirt dress I got for the same reason. I like it with the plaid. The patterns look fantastic together. You're looking great!
ReplyDeleteobsessed with this outfit! I have to say you're rocking this mom style thing :)

I really love that sweater!! I'm 5'9" and have such a tough time finding tops to cover my booty too!! I especially feel limited sometimes because I don't wear leggings as pants =) You are looking beautiful and hope everything is going well with the transition with your adorable baby!!!

So cute! Love the sweater, and your hair!!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are tall! I'm 5'8 so I have trouble finding shirts long enough, but my little sister is nearly 6 feet tall and she really has trouble finding clothes that fit well. Aaanyway, this outfit is adorable! I can see why you love it. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this sweater! I have a long sweater I got from a friend that I was seriously in the habit of wearing five times a week (it was yellow and still surprisingly went with everything!) But I realized I really really needed to wash it because it had chocolate on it, somehow, and it's still sitting in my laundry basket. Weeks later. Because it's supposed to be hand-washed. Who has time for that?! At this point, I may just buy a new one :/ and I love this one!!
ReplyDelete♥ perfectly Priya
I would wear that cardigan every day also. I love it and your plaid shirt too. Gorgeous casual outfit, Ash.
ReplyDeleteOooh, that cardigan makes me so happy! I have a similar one that's pretty huge on me so I don't wear it "out," but it gets TONS of wear around the house! (Also, in that closeup photo of you, I noticed your adorable nose ring again...I wish I had the guts to pierce my nose!!!)
ReplyDeleteAhh, I love huge, long, cozy sweaters! Even if they're unflattering on me, I feel amazing (and WARM) in them. Such a cute look!
