This is my first outfit post of 2015! And it's... well, it's mom clothes. I wore this exact same outfit way before I was a mom, but for some reason now that I look at it, it's like "oh, she's a mom." I'm totally fine with that - this is what I wore to have lunch at a friend's house last week and since it was the only time I wore makeup all week, I figured I'd share it on the blog :) I mean... I'm pretty sure I've never given anyone the idea that I wear fancy clothes when I'm on maternity leave. This is The Real World: Newborn Edition. I mean, that should be a version of the show, right?

Mom clothes? I don't know about that. Looks like a regular person's outfit to me! :) Cute scarf.
ReplyDeletehahaha aw you're a mom now :) you look super cute!
ReplyDeleteI'd say a pretty darn cute mom! I think white chucks make any mom look a step up from typical mom wear... maybe that's just me though ;)
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing. I'd never guess you just had a baby, like, two seconds ago ;) I'm loving the white converse!
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect! Totally sensible for time at home with babies but also so cute for the season - I can't get enough of vests and checkered scarves. And sneakers! Cute.
ReplyDeleteIf those are mom clothes... then I am definitely a mom today! ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me. Around here most moms I know wear pjs and wanna be workout clothes everywhere.
ReplyDeleteTotally a great look! I have that vest in green! Love its sweatshirt feel!
ReplyDeleteI think this is such a cute, cozy, layered look!
ReplyDeleteHooray for your first 2015 outfit post! Keep 'em coming - mom clothes or not!
ReplyDeleteenjoy that time. Some days I would look at the clock and say, it's noon? I haven't even brushed my teeth! but snuggling up with the baby is the best.

Mom outfit or not, you look adorable! I'm wearing black skinny jeans and converse today too if that helps :)
ReplyDeleteRegardless of how you categorize this outfit, I think you look great!! You're casual, but still stylish and put together. I feel like there's way too many new moms out there that just throw on sweats and call it a day.

Something About That
I guess I pretty much always look like a mom. And I will wear that with pride! :) That scarf is so cute with the purple. Hope you had a nice lunch with your friend!
ReplyDeleteI love your "mom style" - I would just call it stylish! =)

Hey comfortable doesn't mean it has to be mom clothes, but I know what you mean.
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah I'd totally wear this, and I don't have any kids!
ReplyDeleteI think you look great! My mom clothes are more along the lines of pajamas. ;)

Yeah, a very cute mom! Hooray for the first post of 2015!
ReplyDeleteSo fun and cozy! Definitely stylish mom clothes - you look great!
ReplyDeleteYou are adorable! I'm pretty sure I'd be in yoga pants and a giant sweatshirt for the first couple of months after giving birth. ;) Love this look (and totally one I'd wear now!).
ReplyDeleteAww, you look so great, Ashley! That vest looks so cozy and relaxed :)
ReplyDeleteThis type of outfit is a casual cold weather uniform for me, especially the last 2 years as a mom. I recently added a similar scarf also. You look great and I need a pair of white Converse sneakers.
