*bump status: technically I am 41 weeks, but these photos were taken at 39 weeks
Okay, so. I haven't had the baby yet. Just wanted to get that out of the way. If you follow me on instagram (@creamtomycoffee), I haven't been hiding anything. As you can imagine, I'm completely over being pregnant at this point, but I am nooooot looking for sympathy (also, I'm convinced that unless you've gone close to 11 days past your due date, you have no idea what it feels like anyway). So, I've decided to share a few of the positive of things about being overdue:
- You get to show up to Thanksgiving without bringing anything. Eric and I went to 4 Thanksgivings this year (2 with friends, 2 with family) and since they were all past our due date, no one expected us to cook anything. And we ate everything, so... muahaha.
- People go out of their way to check on you and treat you really well. I have had so many thoughtful texts from friends and coffee dates and dinners and other great things in the past 11 days.
- Not working. I originally planned on waiting until I went into labor to take my leave, but last week, I was just... done. I think it has been good for mentally to have a break and run errands and all of that stuff.
- Knowing that I am providing a safe place for my baby boy to live before he enters the world. As annoying as it is that he loves hanging out in there, being pregnant is a blessing and an honor so I am trying to appreciate it as much as possible!
