Happy Monday! Eric and I had an incredible weekend - we spend two days in a little town in Oklahoma called Sulphur at a b&b-spa-resort-thing. We essentially laid around and watched hgtv in bed (a luxury since we don't have cable or a tv in our room!), read on a porch overlooking lovely landscape, ate way too much rich food and just generally had a great/lazy time. If we used terminology like "babymoon" then we might have called it that. Oh and I also got a prenatal massage, which was awesome. I can't really complain about the aches and pains of pregnancy because I feel really great, but having someone rub your body for an hour pretty much rocks in any form or fashion. I essentially fell asleep on the table. Eric, on the other hand, got a deep tissue by a female ex-marine and let's just say he still can't move.

oh gosh, poor Eric! I got a massage a couple weeks ago and felt awesome the rest of the day, and then the next day I could barely move. I'm glad you had a nice "not-babymoon" weekend! :-)
ReplyDeleteRe: Eric's massage misfortune - I'm scared of getting a professional massage for that exact reason! Sounds like a relaxing weekend, though.
ReplyDeleteCan I put in a vote to see how you redid the nursery room? I love your house tour posts :)
aw look how cute you are :) seriously, i can't handle it.
ReplyDeletepoor Eric! that sounds horrible.
and that sounds like my kind of babymoon. food + bed + hgtv? sold. we don't have cable or a tv in our room either (do you want one? people always think we are crazy for not wanting a tv in the bedroom).
Sounds like the perfect getaway - good for you two! And I had only one prenatal massage but wanted a zillion more simply to spend time on that table that had a drop-out slot for the bump to fit in... as a stomach sleeper I thought there was nothing better halfway through pregnancy than the chance to relax in that position for a few minutes!
ReplyDeleteLove the color of your dress!

ReplyDeleteHaha! We don't have a tv in our bedroom or cable either so we make sure to request a king size bed and sit and nap all day. lol.
ReplyDeleteAwww... Nate planned a getaway this weekend for us that also included a couples massage and resort stay. We certainly both have great guys! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds great and you look glowing and man, the color of that dress is gorgeous on you. <3

ReplyDeleteGlad you guys had such a great weekend! We don't have cable so when we travel, we love watching HGTV from a comfy hotel bed, haha! There is something wonderfully relaxing about it. :)
Ooh those pregnancy massages were the best! I remember it being so nice to lay on my stomach. Sounds like the perfect way to spend a weekend!

So fun! Glad you took some time to relax and enjoy each other. I grew up visiting Sulphur. We don't have cable either and totally go immediately to HGTV or Food Network when given the opportunity. Makes it hard to leave a hotel room. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great weekend. You are looking great - love your jacket!!

Oh my gosh, that sounds like the perfect weekend really (maybe the ultra intense, Marine-grade massage aside)! And I've been such a delinquent blogger that I've never even said "Congratulations" on your pregnancy! You look amazing and I love that blue! So pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so gorgeous in cobalt and I love the striped blazer, loafers and statement necklace. I want all of this outfit. I believe it is the most elegant one you have worn while pregnant. Love that the belly button is sticking out, also. So cute, Mamma!
