*bump status: 36 weeks
Sometimes I feel like a genius. I wish it was when I was curing cancer or inventing a way to apparate (my Harry Potter real life dream). But today my genius has to do with two entirely superficial things. First of all, this shirt is non-maternity, but I bought it to wear with the bump and that makes me feel really smart because it was cheap and will be a great breastfeeding shirt (at least in theory... my plan is to stick the baby under the masses of fabric, but what do I know). The other thing that makes me feel like a genius is that I have figured out how to only wash my hair once a week and it looks like this on day 6. Disgusting? A little bit. Smart? You betcha.

Oh my gosh... Apparition would be the best magical power!! And I love this top. You look great!
ReplyDeleteI think the hair trick is so smart hehe I HATE washing my hair-I can go three days which I think is pretty good :)

I'm so jealous of your day six hair! I can go three days before I start looking like I crawled out of a swamp :) And that shirt is adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou're so cute. You'll appreciate that lack of hair washing when baby comes. I wish I could figure that out. You'll have to share your secret!
ReplyDeleteOh man, lucky! My hair turns into an oil slick after about 36 hours. I wish I could coax it into being slightly more agreeable. I've sort of wanted to try going no 'poo, but I don't know if I can manage the few weeks where your hair is supposed to be adjusting to the new routine...
ReplyDeleteSix day hair! You are so lucky - I can only go 2. Your top is super cute!

Easy-to-breastfeed shirts are so necessary!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that's six day hair! :)
I bet your hair is a million times healthier though! I wish I could wash only once a week. I've got my hair going four days with dry shampoo. The top over those black jeans is a great look. According to all the other bloggers that have recently had babies, breast feeding shirts are important. Nice that you're ahead of the curve!
ReplyDeleteYou look so adorable! I love the printed blouse with the black pants and booties. Good to know I am not alone on not washing my hair for days (haha!) it's recommended by hairstylists so don't feel that bad. Sometimes is good to have dry hair :)

Ummm, this is your day 6 hair?! Impressive! I wash my hair every.single.day. Probably shouldn't, but I feel grimy and oily if I don't. And way to go buying a shirt that you can wear during pregnancy AND afterwards!!
ReplyDeleteI really wish I could wash my hair only once a week, but by day three it's either going up in a bun, under a hat, or I just have to wash it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous top, hope it works out well after the bump as well!

That top is so cute! I hope it works as a breastfeeding shirt also! That would be an amazing deal for a F21 shirt!

I am super impressed about your hair! I am down to three times a week, but I wish I could hold off longer! It's really cute how you twisted it like that. And I love non maternity clothing that works for maternity!
ReplyDeleteUmmm I avoid washing my hair at all costs. I only shampoo once a week (but have to condition more). Curly hair is SUPER dry and not a huge fan of the shampoo. And I love that tunic. So cute. You smart girl!

Okay, so I was going to start off this post like this "I know we should be talking about your pregnant belly and baby to be, but I really want to talk about your hair because it looks so good in that last photo." and then I read the part about not washing it. And I got super jealous. My hair looks terrible on day 2.5. Tell us your ways!
ReplyDeleteteach me your hair non washing ways. and also if you figure out how to apparate i want to know.
ReplyDeleteI have dry curly hair so I only wash it once a week or it would be more damaged so I totally get it. You look so cute in this top!

Day 6! Impressive. I wish I could do that, but my hair is so fine and I work out every day. And I love the print on that shirt. Great find.
ReplyDeleteCute top turned maternity wear. Love the print. In my pregnancies I did the same always searching for regular clothes I can adopt to nursing and maternity. :) Indeed smart. XOXO, Elif
ReplyDeleteI wash my hair every 2 or 3 days now, but in the past I've washed it once a week. And it was great. But still, every couple of days isn't terrible. :) Glad you have figured out how to wash less!!
ReplyDeleteI am sooooo impressed with your hair on day 6... it looks amazing! Please tell me your secret.
ReplyDeleteHa- this is how I feel about my vast pop culture knowledge. Handy sometimes, otherwise, useless. These are handy things though! That's a great top and GIRL I am all about not washing my hair. Idk if you've explored dry shampoo, it really helps me out! Honestly, before I read the text on this post, I was thinking about how nice and wavy your hair looked! Sometimes I get my best hair days when it's really crazy and messy and it's been 4+ days since the last wash.
