Love for True & Co

Guys, I hate bra shopping. Hate it. I think it goes back to the fact that I have always been SUPER modest about things, so having a lady touching my bra straps in the dressing room freaks me out. Modesty side-note: I used to help backstage at my cousin's dance recitals and I couldn't believe how the girls would just drop their clothes to change costumes really fast. I wish I didn't care - I'm so weird.

Anyway, even if modesty isn't an issue, most women I know don't love bra shopping either. I have mentioned them before, but I am a big fan of the company True & Co. They have an at-home try on program where you take a fit quiz, and then they send you a box at home to try on the bras (in the privacy of your own home - yay privacy!). You pay for the ones you like, and send back any that you don't like within 5 days. You can also provide feedback so that every time you get a box, it's closer to your preferences.

I discovered the company last year after Victoria's Secret discontinued my favorite bra (ugh, still bitter). Before that, I would just order the same bra from VS whenever they had a sale. Anyway, I tried out True & Co and discovered a great bra brand (Calvin Klein... wearing it right now... I just talked about my bra... scandalous). I've been hooked ever since!

Right now, True & Co is having a $25 off special with a referral - just use this link to get your discount. Full disclosure: if you make a purchase I get a credit as well. So no pressure, but you can totally help me buy more bras.

True & Co also has a lovely selection of lingerie and lounge clothing. I recently received a pajama set from the new Uniform by True & Co Line and it seriously feels like it was made of silk. Soooo soft. Yeah, I can't wear it yet, but just touching it makes me happy.

Full disclosure: True & Co recently let me try out some products from their new line. I was not asked to write a post, but since I have been a fan for a while, I wanted to share it with you all. All opinions are my own and I was not compensated for writing.

  1. I'm going to have to check them out. I've been kind of disappointed with VS lately, between them continuously changing the sizes that "should" fit me, and the bras not holding up for very long. (And I did dance recitals all through childhood and high school, and it wasn't until my senior year, when I had like six minutes to change between dances, that I ever got even semi-comfortable with changing in public. On the other hand, I became an expert at changing in my car while driving from school to dance classes…)

  2. Isn't it great when you find a bra that just works? I found a Gap bra that is awesome, so I just hope they keep making it. So nice to have a service that ships to your home.

  3. Wow, what a fabulous company. I am not a fan of people being near me when I am trying anything on, let alone a bra. and VS discontinued my favourite as well, so rude. I just wear the same one over and over, sometimes I wear forever 21 'sports bras' because lets face it, I don't need much support.

  4. Thank you for reviewing this company! I've seen them advertise in my sidebar but wasn't sure about giving it a shot since I do have a bra I like, but like you, you never know when VS will change it or worse still discontinue it. This will be great for you after the baby. All my friends have said you have no idea what size you're going to be after it's all said and done!

  9. I love this idea!! I took the fit test but I am not sure how to select bras to try on. Do you just load them in your cart? Thanks! And by the way, you look great!! Your pregnancy is being very good to you! Susan

    1. I'm so glad you took the quiz! After I took the quiz, the left-side column says "shop by" and has bras underneath. It says "bras rated in your size" and "recommended for you" - I believe they will only show you the bras that will actually fit you. You just add the ones you want to try to your cart and you should be able to select the home try on option when you check out. Let me know if that doesn't work for you!

  10. Ugh, I hate bra shopping as well! Mostly because I kind of hate bras. I wear a sports bra as often as I can, because I hate bras so much, haha. I like that you can try these bras out before officially buying them - most of the time, I find some that are pretty and seem comfortable while trying them on in the fitting room, but after a day's wear, they annoy the heck out of me...this company seems to skirt that issue!!

Thanks so much for your comment! I reply to my comments via email, but I can't do that if you are a no-reply blogger (if you don't know what that means, you probably are). Check out this tutorial to fix it!
