***Hi Friends! It's been a while. I went to NYC last week and I decided to take a little blog break. It was wonderful but I am happy to be back. I am looking forward to sharing about my trip and catching up with you all!***
I actually bought a few things this month! Yay. I didn't buy anything in February or April and in March I only used gift cards. Obviously, that felt pretty awesome, but it was also kind of nice to spend some cold, hard cash this month. Here is what I bought:
1. H&M tank maxi So the one I bought actually has tiny little white polka dots on it (h&m's website/inventory is the worst and I couldn't find it). Maxi dresses are my favorite thing to wear in the summer, so this was an easy buy. Plus, the fabric is so soft, it essentially feels like a nightgown. $17.95
2. I actually bought this Old Navy shirt because I saw my cousin wearing it (thanks Sarah!) and it looks awesome. It's basically a t-shirt but it has a silky feel and looks really dressy. I have already worn it like three times since I bought it, so the $11.97 I spent was definitely worth it.
3.This white lace skirt was kind of a impulse buy from h&m, but I justified it to myself since I don't own a white skirt. And it's hard to tell in the picture, but the lace detailing is really pretty. $14.95
4. Converse sneakers ($44.95) I kind of surprised myself when I bought these. White sneaks are pretty trendy right now, and I usually resists trends, but I just really wanted these for some reason. I wore them A LOT in New York last week, so I think that was my justification to myself. They really are super comfortable and I feel like I will get a lot of use out of them. We'll see.
5. Ann Taylor d'orsay black flats. So I've never owned black flats. How weird is that? I have gotten away with because I have some payless flats that have black on them, but they are starting to fall apart so I have been looking for a new pair for a few months. I stumbled upon these at Ann Taylor last week (originally $98 - on sale for $39) and they fit perfectly and are really comfortable. I actually wore them walking around Times Square and my feet didn't hurt at all!
Definitely a high spending month for me, but since I pretty much haven't bought anything since January and I did get two pairs of shoes, I feel OK about it. How was your spending this month?
