1. H&M Striped sweatshirt (similar). I have actually had a “cute sweatshirt” on my list for a while, so when I saw this one online at H&M for $5, it was super easy to put into my cart. I have already worn it a few times – it’s super comfortable.
2. H&M White tank (black still available). I don’t really have anything to say about this except that it cost $2.50. I mean, “Ok, I’ll buy you.” I thought the embroidery on the neckline was pretty and it will be easy to wear this summer with shorts or to work with a cardigan.
3. Green maxi skirt. Ok, so this particular skirt has been on my radar for a long time – I have wanted a green pleated maxi for about a year now. I found this one at Piperlime for $69 a while ago, but decided that was too much. I signed up for an alert from PricePinx (a free site that emails you when the price of something has dropped) and I got an email saying it was down to $44.97. Eh, still too much. But then it turned out that Piperlime was having an extra 60% off final sale items so I got it for $17.99. I actually haven’t gotten it in the mail yet, but I have high hopes!
4. H&M lace dress. So the truth is that I’m not really sure I’ll ever wear this. It’s pretty short and cut really low in the back, but it was $5. Usually I say don’t buy anything unless you KNOW you’ll be able to wear it a lot, but I figured it might be fun for a date night or something. I doubt it will ever make it on the blog :)
5. H&M knit sweater. The winters in Oklahoma are usually pretty mild, so I don’t have a ton of sweaters. I do love them though, so I’ve been trying to stock up on them when I can get a good deal. I got this one for $7.50 - it’s the perfect medium weight gray sweater.
6. Steve Madden Milaan booties. I have had black booties on my wishlist for a while, but I didn’t want to spend very much since we are getting so close to the end of boot season. The heel on these is a little high for me (I’m 5’10” and usually stick with flats) but the main place I will be wearing them to is work, so I think they will be just fine. The original price for these booties is $99 and I got them from Piperlime for $19.99 (yay for that 60% off sale!).
7. Lace shirt. I LOVE lace so much; I think it is just so elegant and pretty. This pretty top was only $7.50 from H&M, so of course it was an easy purchase.
Total: $65.48

ReplyDeleteGreat stuff! I can't wait to see the green maxi on. I think I told you before that green is your color :-)
ReplyDeleteTracy @Its Mostly About Fashion
that Piperlime sale GOT me, too. My booties arrive later today or tomorrow though, so I'm not counting them until February (whatevs). Loving your picks for this month though and still only spend $65 - which is amazing. xo
ReplyDeleteWow you found some great deals! Super impressed with your budget! Also, those booties are perfect.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had known about the Piperlime sale!! It's probably best that I didn't, but still. I can't wait to see your skirt!!
ReplyDeleteThose boots are a great find! About two years ago I picked up a pair of black booties from Target, and you can never go wrong with them in your wardrobe, especially at that price!
ReplyDeleteThat green skirt is super pretty! And since it ended up being $17, I think that's a great price! And I already liked that striped shirt when you wore it before!
ReplyDeleteLove your purchases! That dress is sexy, the maxi skirt is fab, and I'm jealous of that sweater. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteYou got some great deals! I've been looking for a nice pair of booties to wear to work, I'm so jealous you got those for just $20!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how you style that maxi skirt- super cute! And I adore that H&M lace top! Would you say it fits true to size?

Oooh good question. H&M is so weird with their sizes. I usually wear a small in shirts, but I ordered a large and I am glad that I did. A medium probably would have been fine, but I wanted it to have a loose-er fit. It's definitely not super loose though. I hope that makes sense. Oh and just fyi, you definitely have to wear a tank or something underneath it. There are small areas that are a little see-through. Let me know if you have any more questions!
DeleteLove the maxi skirt and for a great price too! :-)

Love the green skirt. It really adds a pop of color, which we need right now. Winter feels so dull right now.
ReplyDeleteYAY, so glad you found some black ankle booties! Love that green skirt, and the grey sweater looks cozy...perfect for a snow day or two next week (I'm hopeful).
ReplyDeleteI love these! You managed to get a lot of pieces for under $100! I love the maxi skirt too, but when I went to their site it was back up to $44.97. Did you have to use a code to get it down to $17 or is that sale just over now? Thanks!

I love that you spend little and yet get a lot for your dollar. Also, makes me feel good to see another blogger with a smaller clothing budget out there. Thanks for openly sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou got some awesome stuff! So, that lace shirt from H&M - how does the size run? I'm so nervous to buy anything online from them, because in the store, I've been anything from S to XL!
ReplyDeleteYou got so much for your money! That's awesome. That green skirt is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat green maxi skirt is perfect for you! I can't wait to see how it works out. I always wish that there was an H&M within reasonable distance from me, but then again I'd probably shop a whole lot more if there was!
ReplyDeleteI am in awe! I love everything you got and it's all so versatile! Even you lace dress you could maybe wear as a skirt. What a bummer I missed such a great H&M sale, but maybe it was for the best!
ReplyDeleteWell I thought I had gotten some pretty good deals this month but after seeing your deals...notsomuch. $2.50 for that tank at H&M? Amazing! It looks cute & really versatile. I also enjoyed scrolling down through your travel post! Looks like you've been some great places. :) -Gina

Pricepinx sounds like such a useful app. And what a great deal, scoring that beautiful skirt for only $18. I have a pair of black boots like that and I've worn them around so much that the heels is destroyed. I'm going to click over and see if these will serve as a great replacement!

I love this idea! I have been on a shopping ban this month to try to find methods of getting my spending under control. I have established a budget and I hope you dont mind if I use this idea of posting what I purchase each month on my blog. I think this will help me see where my dollars go and keep me in line with my budget. I love the lace top! I think I would typically wear a small. I don't shop at H&M, so I am wondering if it fits true to size. Thanks ! Susan
ReplyDeleteGreat purchases! Really like that green skirt the best, such a bargain! :) I bought a few things in the sales this month too - just too hard to resist! :)

I need to get the Pricepink app - did not know about this. There is a store in UK called Monsoon, similar to Anthro & saw an orange embroidered dress for $122 end Oct. Tday weekend, store wide sale of 50% off was still too high for the dress. Lo & Behold, I got their store email in Jan that everything in store was now 75% off....the orange dress was no where to be seen...I described the dress to the sales person who searched at the " back" of the store & found...now on sale for $30 !!! They just so happened to have my size also !!!I paid $30 cash & walked out smiling...love a deal worth waiting for.
ReplyDeleteI love the white shirt and boots! ♥
