A Cruise & A Blog Break

So, I went on a cruise last week. Yeah, I know, I didn't share. I just didn't feel comfortable telling the internet I would be out of the country for a week, so I apologize that I haven't been responding to comments or emails. But I'm back! And it's Christmas!

My husband and I went on the cruise with my parents, siblings and grandparents. There were nine of us total. Cruises are so perfect for big groups. We really had a wonderful time.

My husband loves animals, so getting to hang out with a sea lion was one of his favorite moments.

Shuffleboard on the deck.

The ladies in Merida, Mexico.

My sister and I in Cozumel.

My 84 year-old grandpa was such a trooper. He even got a special sand wheelchair so he didn't miss anything.

Obligatory Hunny beach shot.

The food... oh man, the food. It was so good. And so fancy.

If you've ever been on a cruise, you are familiar with towel animals.

It was so hard to come back to cold, icy weather.

We really had a fantastic time. It didn't feel like Christmas while we were on board (since it was 90 degrees outside and we were snorkeling) so when we got back on Saturday I started to feel a little sad that the holiday season is almost over. Why does it go by so fast?

I want to enjoy the holidays as much as possible, so I'm going to take a little blog break from now until January 2nd. I might end up popping in before that, but no promises.

Thank you to all of you who have supported me this year. A few friends, a lot of strangers (who feel like friends!) and my family. I really love this little hobby of mine and it just makes me feel so honored that anyone would want to read my words. THANK YOU!

Merry Christmas!

  5. Happy holidays!! We went to Jamaica at the beginning of December, and I agree that it feels like it cuts the holiday season a little shorter. Looks like you guys had a great time on your cruise though!

Thanks so much for your comment! I reply to my comments via email, but I can't do that if you are a no-reply blogger (if you don't know what that means, you probably are). Check out this tutorial to fix it!
