This morning I am a super random mood, so you get two super random things:
1. Friends, you need to clean behind your refrigerator. Some of you are thinking, "duh, I do that every month." Others are thinking, "what could possibly be behind my refrigerator?" I used to be a member of the latter group and let me tell you; there is a lot of really gross stuff back there. Last week Eric and I spent an entire afternoon cleaning behind our refrigerator, oven and washer and dryer. It was... gross. Cleaning wasn't fun (at all) but the air in our kitchen smells cleaner, fresher and less... polluted. Guys, do it. You'll be glad you did.
2. I just love blogging for so many reasons, but one of them is when internet friends turn into real life friends. Julie, and I stumbled across each other in the blog world a few weeks ago, and through a random series of conversations, discovered that we live in the same town and work at the same university. So of course, we had to meet in person (blind date style - "uh, let's meet in a public place") and it was wonderful. She is so nice, so pretty and we have a whole lot in common. And she totally gets the whole blogging thing. Once again, I am just so thankful for this crazy internet world.

Style of One's Own
aw, shucks :) So, SO thrilled we discovered each other. Looking forward to the next time we can share coffee and giggles :D This made my day!
ReplyDeleteTo answer your first point, I'm kind of terrified to look behind my appliances. I know how many mounds of pet hair I sweep up on a daily basis, there's probably an entire nest of kittens behind there. I shudder to think...
The dark red lips bookend the necklace rather well.
ReplyDeleteLove the paisley skirt! Such a fun item and we are currently repainting our kitchen so definitely going to get behind the fridge and oven. Can't wait :-/ lol

ReplyDeleteSo a) I really love this outfit, both the top and skirt are so pretty! b) I, um, have never cleaned behind my refrigerator, but will definitely be soon because we are painting the entire kitchen, now I'm scared! 3)How fun that you met another blogger! I'm glad you guys had a good time!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! And blogging friends are wonderful, aren't they? It's so nice to talk to other people who "get" this crazy world :)
ReplyDeleteI love paisley! and I rarely clean behind things. leave that for the next person who lives here, I say.

Great skirt!! I love meeting blogger friends in real life and I do not love cleaning behind the fridge. Luckily, the Mr. does that when I'm gone.

Totally love this look! Especially the blouse! I am a huge fan of the blouses that have sleeves that roll up! Thanks for the tip about cleaning, I've never done that and now I'm scared to look! Eek!

ReplyDeleteYour friend Julie has a great blog too!
Very polished and fun, I love this!
ReplyDeleteI love Paisley and wear it as often as I get the chance with the pieces I have. That Skirt was a great buy. I am loving it with Gray. I want a Gray, Cozy (a little Wider) Button-Down as well as an Olive one, just like yours. =)
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt, the pattern and colors are so pretty! Great outfit!
