I'm going to call today "3 Things Wednesday." This is not going to be a cute little series or anything, I just have 3 random things on my mind. And I'm trying to keep from sounding like my mind is all over the place (even though it is).
1. First topic... vintage/thrift stores. This dress that I am wearing is one of my favorite items that I have ever thrifted. All I had to do was hem it and bam! - cute dress. I really love thrift stores for the fact that things are so cheap and the fact that you can find things no one else has. But here's the thing: I hardly ever go thrift shopping. I think it has to do with the fact that I don't like to go on Saturday when it's crazybusy and they close at 6pm on weekdays (I work until 5). I know, I know, I have a rough life.
2. No-reply bloggers. Friends, I am begging you, make sure you are NOT a no-reply blogger. A lot of bloggers reply to your comments via email and they cannot respond to you if you are one of these boogers (oh yeah, I just called you a booger). If you don't know what I am talking about, check out this post by Cassie at Hi Sugarplum. It's an easy fix, so go fix it!
3. Summer. Summer is seriously the best. Eric and I have been taking advantage of the long days by playing softball, eating on our porch and taking evening walks. We have lots of fun weekend plans (one of my besties is coming to visit this weekend!) and hopefully lots of pool time is in our future. What are you excited about this summer?
so very pretty!

That is a great dress! I love to thrift shop, but I have the same problem you do: work till 5 and don't want to go on Saturday. But I still love it. Great outfit!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that dress, so cute and perfect on you.

It's vintage, a wrap dress and has pockets! Adore! Amazing find!

Oh Ashley, you "cutie-in-any-sort-of-outfit". But seriously, you look very cute! In any sort of outfit.
ReplyDeleteThe end.
I love thrifting too! I haven't made any vintage purchases because quite frankly it's expensive which is probably why it's vintage. Maybe I'll luck up on one of my thrift shopping trips and find an awesome vintage piece. :-) The dress looks good on you too. BTW, I hope I'm not a no-reply blogger. I thought I changed that.

What a great find!! I'm the same way about thrift shopping: I love it, I love finding unique things for cheap, but I hardly ever go. What's up with that?
ReplyDeleteAdorable dress! Love this look!,

Gorgeous dress! If you get a chance, please link up your outfit to my What We Wore Party: http://suburbsmama.blogspot.com/2013/06/what-we-wore-2.html
ReplyDeleteOh, lovely dress. The pattern is so 'in' right now too. I love thrifty/vintage finds. Need to hit up Los Angeles in July when my shopping ban ends. :)

LOVE that dress!! I do not have the thrift store gift, and it makes me sad. My sister always finds the cutest things when we go, but I just don't have the eye haha. And I agree about no-reply bloggers; it took me a while to realize that when I get an e-mail comment, it's actually a blogger e-mailing me back, and not replying directly on their blog. I would never reply, because I thought I'd have to go all the way back to their blog, and have a convo in the comments haha.
ReplyDeleteWhat a Gorgeous Dress and you wear it so well, too. Great Wedges as well.
ReplyDeleteYay for a beautiful dress you won't see on 100 other people! :) You look great!
ReplyDeleteWhat am I excited for this summer? Since I'm a teacher and I have the summer off (I am doing some work at home but still) I am most excited about sleeping in! I know... I'm a party animal :)
Love that dress, you look gorgeous!

What a fantastic find!!! I wish I had your luck at thrift stores. It really is a bummer that they close so early. And yayyy for summer time! I'm so happy it's here!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty dress such a fun pattern. Looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress! Also, I could have SWORN I saw you today when I was in Moore. Seriously. If it wasn't you, then it was your twin. For serious.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is PERFECT! I have never ventured into vintage shopping (it's not really my aesthetic) but this dress is making me want to go take a look now :) So pretty!
