7 Pieces 7 Ways

When Audrey announced the 7x7 challenge, I have to admit I was a little excited. The whole reason I started posting outfits was because I was trying to be more creative about what I already had in my closet. So, this was just right up my alley. And I had WAY too much fun doing this. My husband, who took all the photos on the same evening, did not have as much fun :)

teal button-down: JCP // patterned tee: Old Navy // polka dot skirt: thrifted (similar) //
striped dress: Anthro (similar) // jeggings: Old Navy (similar) // cardigan: BR (similar) //
wedges: Old Navy (similar)

Here are the 7 outfits I created out of these items:

belt: local boutique (similar)

necklace: ON (similar)

belt: target (similar)

necklace: Target // bracelet: gift

necklace: DIY // belt: Target (similar) // watch: Fossil

 necklace: F21 (similar)

necklace: gift (similar) // watch: Fossil

There you have it - 7x7! Which outfit is your favorite?

  1. Cute polka dot skirt! I've been on the hunt for a good one. I'll have to try scoping out some thrift stores :)

  2. I love the one with the striped dress and cardigan! I have that same dress and have never thought to pair it with that color---must do.

  3. I LOVE the colors and patterns you picked! Those are the perfect wedges too. You had a great idea to do this seasonally. I'd love to do it at the start of each season for outfit ideas and to curb my urge to spend. Thanks for joining in the fun!

  7. I really like the outfits you put together! My favorite is the green shirt belted over the dress. Also, I'm so impressed that you made that necklace in the 5th looks (also a fave). I have a similar necklace, but I had to buy it ;) Love your creativity.

  8. The first and second outfits are my favorite. I kind of have a thing for dresses lately. And those shoes are awesome - I'm loving grey/tan neutrals right now!

  10. You picked some great pieces and the combinations are great. I really like the patterned tee and polka dot skirt and also the teal blouse under the patterned tee. That teal color is so pretty on you. Very cute sandals, too!

  11. I love this! Versatility is key for me when it comes to my closet. I love re-mixing pieces because it gets more use out of them :)

I love the teal top over the dress! You look great in all of them :)

  12. Love that you did this! I was too chicken to pull the trigger and do the 7x7. Mostly because I feel like so much of my maternity clothes are mismatched these days. Love all the outfits you pulled together ;)

  16. Your outfits are adorable, Ashley! I love the first outfit and the teal top with the polka dot skirt. I think that necklace just makes the whole outfit. I also love your creativity with the last outfit and layering a t-shirt over a long-sleeved shirt!

  23. I love the outfits you put together! Those wedges are so cute... I think I need them :)

This definitely proves that you don't need to have a ton of clothes to look good. All these outfits look fresh even though you're using the same pieces!

  24. I love the patterned top with the polka dot skirt. It's funny how I am always most drawn to pattern mixing but I still haven't taken the leap in my own outfits. It's just one of those things where it looks so normal on the internet, people off the internet question it. oh well. I agree with what megan said above me, all these outfits look so individual and good even with all the same pieces. :)
