Our home is small, so one of the things that attracted us to the main room of the house was the high ceilings. They are 15 feet tall and make the room feel so much larger. The small size and all the windows made it a little difficult to arrange the room with the TV, but a corner stand made it a little easier. It took us a while to save up to buy some of the furniture, but I'm so glad it was a process. It definitely makes the room feel more collected and planned out than if we had just had everything at once!

I love looking at home tours and yours is so homey and thoughtful. We're renting right now so it makes me excited to be a home owner one day :)
ReplyDeleteOwning a home seriously is so fun - getting to do whatever you want feels pretty great!
DeleteI love home tours! Your Anthro rug is fabulous! Love it.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Paige! We have a friend that worked at anthro and we were able to score an amazing discount!
Deletevery elegant but the coat stand needs to go somewhere else
ReplyDeleteThanks! We have a tiny house (as I mentioned) so there isn't really another option for the coat rack (or our coats) right now. I appreciate the tip!
DeleteI love the orange pillow! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks Danae-geous. I had been eying it at Target for a while and I just decided to pull the trigger. I'm sure you wanted to say more :)
DeleteWhat a fabulous room! I love the way you decorated.

Thanks, FringeGirl!
DeleteThat's just the process we're going through at the moment with our back room ... I'd love to be able to afford a complete, all-at-once overhaul, but it simply comes down to cash! I have all these ideas bubbling around in my head, but I just have to make small incremental changes and learn to be patient! You're room looks great, I hope my ideas pan out as well :)

It is so hard to take it slowly! I just tried to enjoy the process of it as much as I could, just focusing on one thing that we could afford and then moving to the next. There was a time that we didn't have a couch for 6 months - we watched movies sitting in an arm chair holding hands! I just tried to enjoy the humor of it :)
DeleteThis is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOur living room is not very big but we are not using the space correctly.
I love how you have storage placed on the wall and everything just flows so nicely together!
That's the tough thing about having a small space - using it as best as you can. It usually takes a few tries before you can get it right!
Deleteas i've said many, many times - i LOVE your living room. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks friend! ♥♥♥

MY DIGITAL DIARIES
Thanks Melissa! We are so thankful we ended up with those - they were passed down from my in-laws!

Well thanks, Sarah! That means a lot coming from you!
DeleteLOVE your living room. So my style. Love the rug and the pattern on pattern with the Ikat poof and the black & white pillows. Very sophisticated, not too feminine, and looks like it was curated over time, not just thrown together. Very classy.

What a great compliment! I try hard to keep things as gender neutral as possible since there is a boy that lives here :)
DeleteWOW, Your house is Incredibly Beautiful. You did so much and were able to fit a lot, in such a small space. Great Living Room for sure. I love the rug, the pillows, the leather armchairs and all the decorations, especially the vases. The library area is great and so many books. I love books so I get it. ;-) I don't mind the coat hanger either. Hey, you got to utilize the space you got. So cozy. You have an eye for Interior Design girl. I want to come over for a visit.
ReplyDeleteThank You for all the compliments on Baby Vivian. <3 Ada.
You are so sweet Ada, thank you! And yes, it is a small space so we have to use the space as well as we can!
DeleteI want to live in your living room! Love all the textures.
