This week:
My besties came to visit! They only live a couple of hours away, but we don't get to see each other as often as we like. However, it warms my soul each minute we get to spend together.
We drank tea and ate cookies, went to Target (of course!), watched Clueless and ate Taco Bueno way too late at night. We were just pretending we were in college again :)
As I mentioned, I have been struggling in the exercise area of my new year's resolutions. However, I have been (reluctantly) going for morning walks with Eric and Winston. Yesterday, was quite foggy so I took advantage of the photo op :)
Planning for our Europe trip is fully underway. We are SO excited! I'm sure I will be asking for tips and recommendations soon!
Time with besties is awesome! I don't know what your Europe plans are, but my favorite european city is Budapest. Total surprise to me, but I could have stayed there forever. :)
ReplyDeleteOooh ok I will keep that in mind! The hardest part has definitely been narrowing down where we want to go!
DeleteYou forgot to mention that we had to drive all the way across the universe to get that Taco Bueno so late at night... SO far! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes. It was a LONG drive. I'm so glad we didn't get lost :)
DeleteForget Rick Steves - use Lonely Planet guides to plan your trip & then get on Trip Advisor.com to see the B & B recommendations & top 10 things to see & do in each city
ReplyDeletemy blog is - http://travelpostcards.wordpress.com
I didnt update in ages as got cyber stalked - I used Lonely Planet for all my travels
That's great advice - we are actually using Trip Advisor to find places to stay - we've gotten wonderful recommendations for B&Bs! However, we've loved Rick Steve's as an overview/beginning guide to Europe. We've never been so it's been nice to have that. I will definitely check out Lonely Planet though!
DeleteThat neighbourhood picture is gorgeous. Framer for sure!
ReplyDeleteThat's what a lot of people have said - I am so glad I took that picture!
DeleteLoving the fog photo!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic little get-together with the besties!
Those are some of the best moments, I swear.
And Europe?
So jealous!
My aunt lives in France. I've visited once... When I was 17/18. I was too young to appreciate anything. Now I'm eager to go back.
Same story - I went to Spain when I was about 13 and I hardly remember anything. I am so excited to go back and actually make some memories :)
DeleteI love that Winston does not look nearly as big of a dog as he actually is next to Eric.
ReplyDeleteHaha - you are so right! That's probably why Winston fits in so well with our family :)
Deletefun! and that fog was somethin' crazy, wasn't it??
ReplyDeleteGirl, it really was cray cray :)
DeleteLove the "fog" picture!!! Ive been to Target this week too, love the new Threshold decor items....
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - yes! I have a hard time walking past the decor section without stopping...
DeleteYay for BFFs!! Sounds like you had a great time :)
ReplyDeleteWe really did! So thankful for besties :)
DeleteThat is a cool foggy day pic! EUROPE!?!?! EEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!! Exciting!
ReplyDeleteHaha that is exactly how I feel about our trip!!!!!!!!
DeleteHi Ashley,
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping over to my blog, I'm really enjoying reading yours, it's lovely! I have found my Clarisonic to be so helpful with my skin, I don't suffer from acne but find myself suffering from breakouts fairly frequently, I have found it helps heal them much faster and they seem to hit me less often now. I hope you find something helpful soon, let me know how you go, I'm always looking for new skin care tips/tricks!
Zoe xx
Zoe, thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and comment! I talked to a friend who works in derm and she suggested I go for it! She said the Clarisonic is definitely worth the investment. So, I'm looking into it! I will definitely keep you updated on how it all works out!
DeleteI like your WEEK IN REVIEW Posts. Nice time with your besties.
ReplyDeleteYou will have so much fun in Europe. Are you flying out with your husband? To what countries?
Yay! I am so excited! And yes, I am going with the hubs :) We're going to Paris, London, Dublin and the southern Irish coast. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
DeleteHanging out with the besties is the best thing ever! A trip to Europe sounds so exciting!
ReplyDeleteI'm just dying to visit some fun sand, sea and sun location away from this freezing winter of the mid west!

I was just thinking that I haven't been to the beach in a LONG time - that sounds amazing right now!
DeleteI'm so behind on my blog reading...so I'm catching up now. :) This makes me nostalgic for our "theme dinners" in college. Love you girls.
ReplyDeleteAnd did I read correctly that you are headed to Paris? I have lots to share about that wonderful town. Ask me about the cave-like sangria bar with the bar tender that looks like he could be Hagrid's third cousin once removed. :)
Gah, I feel the same way about our fun dinners. It is just so nice to be surrounded by friends all the time!
DeleteYes - Paris! I might send you a message with a request for some recommendations. I am REALLY looking forward to that sangria bar :)
The girls weekend sounds fun! I wish I could do it with my besties!
ReplyDeleteI have been to London and Paris. You will have a grand time!!
