The only bad thing about blogging your outfits (well, besides the occasional creepy email of "how tall is too tall for you to date someone?") is that you get to look at them in retrospect and analyze them. Like this outfit. I think it would have looked more put together with my gray blazer. But the truth is, I love cardigans. There really isn't anything cozier that you can wear to work. And with the transitional weather, cardigans are perfect. I've actually been challenging myself to wear them less, because somehow I always end up with one on.
What about you? Do you have a wardrobe "staple" that you somehow always incorporate into your outfits?
Skirt: Target (also worn here)
Cardigan: Lands End Canvas (similar)
Boots: Eric Michael
I love this look! I stalked those skirts at Target for a while thinking they were going to go on sale, but they seemed to all disappear over night! It looks adorable on you, and is crazy flattering!

I like cardigans too. Your outfit is really cute. Love the colors and those boots are the best.

I wear a cardigan almost every day...so much so that I actually had a student ask me if I ever wore anything else. Oopsie!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, that doesn't surprise me at all!
DeleteThis is so pretty! I love those colors together!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm the same way... Cardigans are basically my uniform for teaching!
DeleteI have no plans on giving up my cardis any time soon. :)
ReplyDeleteYou look great in this outfit; the boots are fab. Have a great week!
Ashley you look adorable, colorful, cute & sweet. Great pieces from Target and I love those boots.
ReplyDeleteMy cold weather staples are leggings or skinny pants tucked into jeans, with a long cardigan layered with a tee, light top or shell underneath or a long sweater. I also do a lot of sweater dresses with tights. During warm weather I am mostly in skirts: pencil, midi, a-line, bucket skirts with a cute top. And once again I do a lot of dresses in summer time. I too love cardigans and consider them a staple in my wardrobe. =)
P.S. Did you check out the surprise in my blog from a few posts ago?
I'm totally in agreement on those staples - leggins with a long shirt and boots, plus a cardigan of course :)
DeleteI did see your surprise - I was honored! I left you a comment :)
This is adorable! Totally agree with you about the hindsight of posting outfits, but I do adore this cardigan... confession: I'm equally cardigan obsessed. :)
ReplyDeleteUm, I am most concerned about the creepy email. Did someone really ask you that??? Eric, get your gun out!
ReplyDeleteHahah, yes someone did ask me that. Of course it was a super-creepy fake email address so I'm not to worried about... hopefully I don't get anymore of those :)
DeleteBeautiful fall look, love the boots! Ohhh, the email is really creepy, I get these messages on Facebook and sometimes just don't know how to react!

DeleteI love the fuchsia and cobalt together! I wish it were warm enough where I live for a look like this!
