Outfit of the Week - Boots, Pink & Purple

The only bad thing about blogging your outfits (well, besides the occasional creepy email of "how tall is too tall for you to date someone?") is that you get to look at them in retrospect and analyze them. Like this outfit. I think it would have looked more put together with my gray blazer. But the truth is, I love cardigans. There really isn't anything cozier that you can wear to work. And with the transitional weather, cardigans are perfect. I've actually been challenging myself to wear them less, because somehow I always end up with one on.

What about you? Do you have a wardrobe "staple" that you somehow always incorporate into your outfits?

  1. I love this look! I stalked those skirts at Target for a while thinking they were going to go on sale, but they seemed to all disappear over night! It looks adorable on you, and is crazy flattering!

  4. I wear a cardigan almost every day...so much so that I actually had a student ask me if I ever wore anything else. Oopsie!

  7. Ashley you look adorable, colorful, cute & sweet. Great pieces from Target and I love those boots.

My cold weather staples are leggings or skinny pants tucked into jeans, with a long cardigan layered with a tee, light top or shell underneath or a long sweater. I also do a lot of sweater dresses with tights. During warm weather I am mostly in skirts: pencil, midi, a-line, bucket skirts with a cute top. And once again I do a lot of dresses in summer time. I too love cardigans and consider them a staple in my wardrobe. =)

P.S. Did you check out the surprise in my blog from a few posts ago?

    1. I'm totally in agreement on those staples - leggins with a long shirt and boots, plus a cardigan of course :)

I did see your surprise - I was honored! I left you a comment :)

    1. Hahah, yes someone did ask me that. Of course it was a super-creepy fake email address so I'm not to worried about... hopefully I don't get anymore of those :)

Thanks so much for your comment! I reply to my comments via email, but I can't do that if you are a no-reply blogger (if you don't know what that means, you probably are). Check out this tutorial to fix it!
