Happy Election Day!

"Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

Happy Election Day, friends. I hope you are standing in line somewhere, freezing your butt off, thankful for the right to vote. The older and more mature I become, I realize what a privilege it is to live in America. I am so thankful for the people who gave up everything, including their lives, to give us this right.

I will be spending this evening here. Yes, in South Dakota. I voted last week and now I get to hear the results while staring at the giant faces of some of our greatest leaders. I'm sure it will be a pretty cool experience. Be back tomorrow!

  1. I can't wait until I am old enough to vote!

  2. I am happy & proud to be an American as well. And you know what's cool. Even-though I am 5000 miles away, as an American citizen I casted my absentee ballot a few days ago. Yes, this amazing country gives me the right to vote even if I have been away from it for a year.

Thanks so much for your comment! I reply to my comments via email, but I can't do that if you are a no-reply blogger (if you don't know what that means, you probably are). Check out this tutorial to fix it!
