Airplanes, Cars & Horses

Ahhhh, vacation. It was wonderful. So relaxing. Before I do a huge photo dump, I'll give you a little info on where we went and what we did. Neither Eric nor I had ever been to Nevada, Arizona or Utah before. We decided to make it happen because we wanted to go somewhere that wasn't too expensive (we are hoping to take a trip overseas in the next year or two and we're saving up for that!) and somewhere we had never been.

Saturday: We left Vegas around 3pm and arrived at 3pm (yay for a 26  hour day!). We immediately hopped into the rental car and drove to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. We arrived too late to actually see it that night, but we stayed the night at the lodge and woke up early the next morning.

Sunday: We hiked around the Grand Canyon for a few hours (I definitely recommend the north rim at 5am - truly breathtaking), then we got back in the car for another mini-road trip to Monument Valley, AZ. Once we got there we took an amazing horse ride around the place. Afterward we headed to Flagstaff, AZ for the night.

Monday: After lunch... more driving! We finally headed back to Vegas, stopping for a tour of the Hoover Dam. After we arrived in Vegas we changed and went to dinner and a show called "Le Reve." It was fantastic.

Tuesday:  Walk around Vegas day. I think we literally walked 10 miles in one day, but it was so worth. Lots of amazing hotels and great food, plus an afternoon by the pool. The evening consisted of a fabulous dinner and the Thunder game.

Wednesday: Slept in, moseyed around and then headed home.

I'm so thankful for such a great, fun trip!

    1. Haha, Shanna I know exactly what you mean! I literally looked up where the closest H&M was when we decided where we were staying. I hate not having one close by, but it also makes it a little more exciting when you stumble upon one :)

  6. How gorgeous!! I've been to Las Vegas a number of times for conventions but have yet to do a Grand Canyon tour. Maybe I should bite the bullet next time and do it. I love the natural architecture of the southwest - thanks for sharing the photos!

Thanks so much for your comment! I reply to my comments via email, but I can't do that if you are a no-reply blogger (if you don't know what that means, you probably are). Check out this tutorial to fix it!
