Please forgive all of the terrible iPhone pictures in this post, this project happened so fast that I didn't have time to grab my camera.
Supplies Needed:
- Empty Frame
- Cork
- Plywood
- Gorilla Glue
- Exacto Knife (or similar cutter)
Step 1: Take a weird picture of your empty frame.
Step 2: Trace the inside of your frame on a scrap of plywood.
Step 3: Use a saw to cut the plywood along your measured line. In case you can't tell, this is Eric cutting - he won't let me to the saw. If you know me... you know that this is a good thing.
Step 4: Trace the cork using the plywood as a guide. Then cut the cork using your Exacto knife.
Step 5: Using Gorilla Glue, glue the cork to the plywood. If you are a good DIY-er, you'll have clamps that you can use to hold the two together overnight until the glue dries. If you're me, you will need to search around your house for a ton of heavy books and pile them on-top of your plywood/cork combo. Then you will forget there is anything under the pile of books and you will have to post-pone your project for a couple of days.
And there ya have it! Easy-peasy bulletin board!
you've done a great job.I love diy projects myself but I lack the disipline
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Angie! I love DIY, but I agree, sometimes it is difficult to make yourself do it! Especially because it is so much easier to buy things!
