Welcome to another installment of... before and after!
Eric and I bought a new table a little while ago (more on that later) and we needed some new chairs to go along with it. One would think that chairs would be cheap, but they're so not. We looked at one (1 chair!) that cost $250 at Mathis Brothers (where we bought our table). $250??? Even the cheapest ones at IKEA are about $30 a piece, which isn't too expensive, but Eric and I were hoping to spend close to nothing on dining chairs.
And we did! Spend close to nothing, that is. We found these chairs at a University surplus store for $1.25 a piece. No joke. We actually bought four of them, but you just get to see two in all my pictures.
Not too impressed? Yeah, me neither. But nothing a little paint and fabric can't fix. As most everyone knows, I have a strange obsession with the color green. And We felt our dining/living room needed more color. Sooooo we went with green chairs. Here they are after a few coats of paint (1 coat of primer, 2 coats of paint, 1 coat of polyurethane, to be exact) and some new fabric.
