We didn't send out a holiday card this year. Or the year before that, or the year before that. Maybe 2011 is our year for a card.
But anyway, I thought I would post something along the lines of what you would read in our card if we had sent one out. You know, a year in review ("the kids love playing outside..." or "our puppy is always getting into trouble") type of thing. So here goes:
Looking back I realize that 2010 was actually a pretty big year for us. Eric started new job at a financial firm in February. Shortly after he got the job, we moved to a temporary apartment about an hour north. Then I got a Graduate Assistantship a university in the same town as Eric's job and then I started Grad School (!) in August. The we BOUGHT A HOUSE in the same town we both work in!
Eric's company got acquired (bought by someone else) which was weird, but everything turned out ok. I completed my first semester of grad school which was also weird - being back in school isn't really the most fun thing in the world (I had to write papers and study. I know, who would have thought?!) but I really do love my program.
We took quite a few vacations this year as well. Eric took a business trip to Washington D.C. and I joined him since I had never been there before. It was really wonderful.

And then Eric took a baseball trip to California with some friends. Guys tend to take less pictures on trips so this is the best picture I could show you:

And yes they met David Beckham while wearing disgusting tank tops.
And our last vacation (I told you we took a lot of trips!) was to Orlando to visit Harry Potter World for our two year anniversary:
To wrap up 2010 we spent some wonderful time with our families and friends over the holidays.
Eric and I feel so blessed to have had such a great year full of lots of exciting things. We've done so many different things in just the two years that we've been married and we know there are a lot of wonderful things to come!
Weeeeell, thanks for having us in your house!! It was so much fun, I wish we could have stayed longer!! I love your lil' place and now that I know exactly how it looks like (i'm horrible at imagining things until I look at it... which is not "imagination" at all!! :)) it will be even better to keep reading about the cute remodeling & upgrades you're doing in your house.
ReplyDeleteLoved the pics with all of your travels and I still can't believe Eric and his friends were wearing weird tank tops when they met David Beckham!! ha!
On another note: I think there's a crane missing from your Snoqualmie picture...?! :)
I hope we get to see you in Oregon this year!!
