A few weeks ago, my sweet husband had a birthday. A 26th birthday. An "upper twenties" birthday. Eric doesn't care about getting older, but it just kind of freaks me out. But that's another post for another day.
To celebrate his birthday, we went to get coffee at his favorite coffee shop, we went to an antique store, and then ate brunch on the porch (one of our favorite Saturday rituals). Then we went to the farmer's market. It was a lot of fun. It was definitely no match for the Portland farmer's market that we went to in July... but it is great to have one close!
This is what we bought:
We just ate the green beans last night... sautéed with shallots. Yum.
But on to the good, non-vegetable aspect of Eric's birthday.
For dessert, I made this:
Molten Chocolate Lava Cake. I had always assumed that it was really difficult to make - I had only ever had it at restaurants. But the truth is, it is SO easy. Easy Peasy, in fact. So go make it.
Yeah. I know.
The birthday boy liked it too.
