But anyway, we have made some progress. We got new carpet! When we moved in we thought the carpet was okay, but we were so wrong. Every time we would pick something up off the floor, we would get a huge whiff of… dog. Wet dog. It was bad. So bad. Eric and I both love dogs (we hope to get one soon!) but we just couldn’t get over the smell. It smelled like there were 10 dogs that jumped in a pool and then rubbed their fur all over our carpet. So, needless to say, we got new carpet. And we love it. Here is proof:
I never knew I would like carpet so much.
We have also been doing a lot of spray painting. Here is a door handle in the bedroom before:

These are obviously ugly, so we looked into buying some new ones in a similar shape. But alas, they cost about $15 a piece, so buying eight of them just wasn’t something we wanted to do. So in comes… spray paint! Check out the same knob painted (we re-painted the door white as well):

Much better.
So there you have it. Productivity. Sometimes slow, but exciting nonetheless.
hooray!! Ashley, the "carpet" picture looks like you are lying in a gigantic bear paw track!!!
ReplyDeleteYou little home-makeover-er, you.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I'm going to drag my eyes over to Norman to look at your made-over home myself.
By the way, I don't know what's wrong with us. Do preferences for the seasons change with age, like taste buds? Because I'm (horror of horrors) almost not completely dreading winter. Nothing so bad as looking forward to it, but still...
They don't even look spray painted?!?! They look amazing and storebought! can't wait to see in person!
