Bored out of my mind.

So I (Ashley) am sitting at work bored out of mind. Hence, the first blog post since August. There really isn't much point in us having a blog considering that we live in Tulsa which is where a lot of friends and family live and everyone else lives about an hour or so away in Oklahoma City. The whole reason I wanted to start this blog was to keep people updated on our life at camp (where we no longer live/work) or our life having a big adventure (which aren't really having).

But here I am at work (I'm an administrative assistant at a community college) doing nothing. As in: I've watched episodes of Glee and Parks & Recreation, I've researched haircuts I want (someday), I've gotten up and walked around the building a few times and I have eaten more than my share of cookies and chocolate just out of boredom.

Now to be fair, my job isn't always like this... since school got out about a week ago it's been slow but today is by far the slowest. All the people I work with are very pleasant, but you just tend to run out of things to talk about with work friends (at least I do). I basically work at a service desk for students and when there are no students... well, you get the idea.

You also have a lot of time to think when you're very very bored. I'll admit there is less time to think than last year when I couldn't find a job... but time to think nonetheless.

Right now Eric and I are kind of at an "in between" time in our lives. Eric still hasn't found a job and I have a job that doesn't utilize any skills or give me something to look forward to. Despite the tone of this post, I do not consider things to be dismal. We are very happy. We have great friends, lots of family close by, we have a great relationship (it's absolutely, immensly wonderful!) and food to eat and a place to live. We just don't really know what the Lord wants us to do with our lives. But we do want to do what He wants us to do. I think that is the important thing. And His timing is beyond anything that we can understand.

So there ya go. That is what is going on with the Sullivans.

  1. I like when you update! It makes my heart smile. And... I miss you!

Thanks so much for your comment! I reply to my comments via email, but I can't do that if you are a no-reply blogger (if you don't know what that means, you probably are). Check out this tutorial to fix it!
